Change the world!?

We've all seen situations in the modern world of commerce and bureacracy which defy common sense. However there seems to be no way to actually cause a change to happen. Your voice isn't heard, even though you know you speak for thousands, or hundreds of thousands. Decision makers have become practiced at ignoring or sidelining those who want a change to the status quo, and so things carry on just the same.

In many situations it would be to the benefit of ALL parties involved if the situation were handled differently (except perhaps the decision maker responsible for the snafu who may unfortunately be dismissed, demoted or at best suffer a public humiliation).

Outcomes

Outcomes from any initiative begun on this site might include

• Recording the problem and those affected
• Agreeing the solution
• Identifying and lobbying those responsible
• Agreeing collective action

In an ideal world, this will be an environment noted for its balance and taken seriously by decision makers and (sadly often more influential) PR people, with the help of the media, software hackers, and of course the participants.
